Scene: The hottest new heartthrob wandering alone Friday night. Boy, you're at a trendy club with pretty girls all around, so why are you content to walk around and sip your drink solo? And these girls aren't typical club-goers: they're the cool girls that shop at Milk and go to concerts in Silverlake. Just your style, right? You budding musician, you.

Or is it true what they say: you have the looks but lack the personality?

Not that scandalous, but the next-Brad Pitt not getting laid? In this town? Kind of a big deal.

Saturday Morning: Toast

Toast. It's my favorite meal anytime of the day, and also one of my fave rave breakfast stops. What's better than buttered toast and scrambled eggs on a morning after? And Toast always delivers.

Wear your Tom Ford shades and sit outside if you want to feel like a desperate starlet, but the best seats are in the back, where you can kick back on a comfy couch with your besties. Just like at home, but with better food than the nanny used to make (unless you were like me, with a health conscious mother who had a chef before the organic craze).

And if you aren't too hung-over, you can go shopping on 3rd Street after your meal. After all, you'll need something to wear for round-two Saturday night!

P.S. Calories don't count the morning after or the night of. Thats why God created gyms.

Los Angeles, and Beyond

Some people hate California, and I don't blame them. I'd hate it too if I didn't know what I know.

You're lucky I'm willing to share...at least a little bit, that is.

Some secrets are best kept under heart-shaped lock and key.

So here it is. The people, the places and the gossip that make the City of Angels what it is: undeniably scandalous, chic and simply too good to be true.

Welcome to the Valley of the Dolls.
